Yeah, I guess one of the reasons Multi Hustle Initiative doesn’t Wish for Me to receive the Community newsletter is because I advise them that soliciting tenants to do work for free that the landlord has an obligation to do as required property maintenance is in very bad taste.
Apparently, many of the other members of My community feel exactly the same Way. They all know that MHI is conveniently MIA (Missing in Action) anytime the tenants require something from the landlord – like, I don’t know, being able to enter the building when the power goes out and FOB’s suddenly don’t work? No, the tenants can wait till management have finished enjoying their weekend before that Will happen because maintenance doesn’t consider being locked out of the building to be an ‘urgent’ Matter. It would be far too self empowering for the tenants to be trusted with a manual key to enter the building in the event of a power outage, it is MHI’s intent to keep tenants demoralized and dependent. Why? Because if One feels demoralized enough, they might try volunteering their time in hopes that it Will gain them some favour with management and THEN maybe their maintenance requests Will be addressed in reasonable time and the birds and other vermin can be evicted from the buildings? Wishful thing King, ‘but it couldn’t hurt’ says one of the tenants to Me, hoping volunteering her time Will mean her repair requests Will be addressed.
Here is Kaneesha the Obnoxious Amethyste begging more tenants to come out to help clean up garbage and do some free landscaping for a landlord who steals from tenants, refuses to provide receipts for rent, and doesn’t even have the moral or ethical decency to return an email. This is the most sociopathic and narcissistic by nature organization I have ever had the misfortune of learning about from experience.
As you know, Hazel has been working hard to help beautify the Haven, and we’re calling on all garden committee members and Haven Residents—and residents—to lend a hand with this meaningful project. We would love to see residents, especially the kids, get involved and take pride in shaping our shared space.
So far, tenant participation has been low, and it’s been a bit disheartening. Let’s come together to show that our community cares.

Don’t You just LOVE the narcissistic tone of the email? It has been ‘disheartening’ to see that People don’t Wish to volunteer their free time to do MHI’s landscaping? Let’s ‘show that Our community cares’ – implying any One who does not come out to volunteer their time doesn’t care about the community. Those that DO, feel a sense of superiority over the other tenants and receive ‘benefits’ for their efforts.
Rather than hire a building manager to take care of routine maintenance, tenant issues, landscaping and whatever other day to day operations a building manager tends to, they hire a ‘Community Events Coordinator’ instead to recruit free labour to do the maintenance work they don’t Wish to pay contractors to do. Not one penny of the $125,000.00 MHI hopes to raise with their ‘Tulipathon’ Will go into the pockets of tenants, not even the ones donating their time. I wonder if Kaneesha has ever offered to pay People twenty dollars an hour or so to do the work she Wishes to see done – I bet that would get her a better turnout! I’m sure a lot of People could use a little cash, but no… MHI Wishes to exploit free labour instead.
The ‘Community Engagement Coordinator’ is just a fancy title for the leading ‘free labour’ recruiter or slaver. If You do work for free, You Will be guaranteed a garden plot! You may even receive the community newsletter and receive an invitation to a community BBQ! But if One does NOT participate, the Kinder Garten Gestapo Will start tall King about You behind Your back, tell People You are not a ‘team player’ and not welcome in the community. They Will politely smile to Your face and compliment Your hair while ghosting You professionally, complaining about You privately, and dodging accountability entirely.
The Community Event Coordinator’s main job, is to recruit free labour, offer perks to those who volunteer their time, and ostracize those who don’t from any community events.
Welcome to Sahada the Satanic Alolo’s ‘Haven’. Not only Will not one penny any One donates to MHI ever reach the pocket of any tenant, they Will also exploit the tenants for free labour because they Will not invest in maintaining the properties professionally.
If You happen to be a freelance journalist exposing the corruption of not for profits like MHI, Sahada Alolo Will also use her connections with the Ottawa Police Service to threaten and intimidate tenants that protest their exploitation of tenants and theft of public money.
