Ficus Elastica Lyrata is another beautiful variety of the Ficus Elastica family that I am thing King any One who Loves Ficus Elastica Burgundy or Ruby Will Wish to have in their collect-Sean.

What I Love about Ficus Elastica Lyrata

The name it Self I am thing King is beautiful – it almost sounds like it is Singing to You which is probably where the Word comes from. The leaves have the potential to become absolutely massive as well and You can see by the young plant pictured above that it already looks much bushier than its cousins in the family.

My Vision for Ficus Elastica Lyrata

I am looking forward to having a massive specifimen of this in My collect-Sean, so the goal Will be to grow both of these as large as I possibly can. The plant featured here today is still young, about three months old now, purchased about one month after the Ficus Elastica Ruby which might Give One some idea how small they were in the four inch pots before I transpanted into the terra cotta. I know it doesn’t look very impressive right now and requires a leaf cleaning but I think it’s reasonably healthy. I thought the brownish spots on new leaves were some kind of pest problem or something but it appears to be just how they kind of harden off. They start sort of brown coloured and turn green as they harden off, sometimes leaving ‘spotty’ brown which doesn’t look very healthy. But I’m one hundred percent certain there are no pest problems because I check it frequently and many have actually disappeared compared to when it was first purchased. The largest leaf at the top was yellowish with brown spots all over it and they just kind of disappeared as it turned green, so I’m less worried about how the new leaves look now. I think the yellowish brown spots are just lack of photosynthesis that heals it Self over time as the leaves harden off. But One can already notice that every leaf so far is outsizing its predecessor and that’s what I like to see!!!
