The Battle Belongs to God

When enemies surround with bitter strife,

And darkness seeks to steal your life,

Stand still, the Lord commands in grace,

For He alone will fight your case.

No sword you wield, no shield you bear,

Will match the power of His care.

In silence, let your heart reside,

As God, Himself, stands by your side.

Exodus speaks with truth and might:

“The Lord will fight for you, hold tight.”

In peace, His justice will prevail,

His love and mercy never fail.

So fear not, child, in your distress,

For God alone your foes will press.

With wings of strength and sword of light,

He shields you through the darkest night.

In every trial, in every storm,

His righteous hand will keep you warm.

Let Him defend, let Him restore,

And trust His promise evermore.
