Hello every One and welcome to the Tuesday Tell a Vision Edition and thank King or Queen You for joining Me, it is always an Honour to have the Gift of Your Presence in My House. Today I confess that I Will be keeping it short despite having plenty of Good News to be tall King about! In fact, it has been such a busy day in My Microcosm that it Will take Me some time to get everything caught up and the main reason I’m keeping this Post short.
It Will be a very short Post because We only have two Art I Facts from yesteryear to share today, so I thought I Will let You know what I Will be war King on tonight. Although I am compelled to spend a great deal of My time Crafting and Drafting what We Call Spellings of Magic to Cast State Actors the Role they Will Play in this Product-Sean, it is far from the most enjoyable thing I am doing with My time.
The Magic of Create Sean and Philodendron Mayoi
Today’s feature photo is My Philodendron Mayoi still unfurling its first leaf since it moved into the Sunshine Gallery’s Good Greenthumb Nursery (My main Living space). This particular leaf was already showing through a bulging cataphyll at the time of purchase two months ago now!!! I also confess that for eighteen dollars plus taxes, it is the most I have paid for any plant in My collect-Sean (and I have a few that are worth hundreds now). I’d never seen anything like it, I Love the shape and colour of the leaves and it was the only one they had so I made a somewhat spontaneous purchase. I only say somewhat because there was also a Philodendron Pink Princess ‘Galaxy’ and although I’m not a big fan of the name, it was a pretty amazing looking specimen and there was only one of those, too! But the name was not at all what One might picture because the leaves were a deep purple in colour with splashes of pink across them – the dark purple leaves were pretty stunning and made a Good backdrop for the pink splashes.
Anyway, no looking back, I am very pleased with the final choice I made because as spectacular as the princess was, this Gives more of an authentic jungle vibe which is more what I’m going for. I’m not really into collector specimens as much as I’m interested in having plants that are really unique and interesting. To watch the leaf on this Philodendron unfurl so slowly for so long reminded Me of a caterpillar becoming the butterfly and I still think that is a Good comparison. It was trying to pull it Self from the cataphyll for three days and I was so tempted to ‘help’ it along (but don’t ever do that, You’ll just rip the end of Your new leaf off, as tempting as it is). Then in emerges from the center, so the entire leaf is bent in half and rolled up tight as a cigar. It seems unfathomable that this leaf is going to untangle it Self and look like all the rest.
Philo Moyoi Impersonates a Ballerina
But today, it looks like a ballerina dancing and twirling in her costume, or like a figure skating champion in the midst of a double-axel.

There is also another cataphyll directly behind this one that continues to swell a little more everyday, so another leaf should come shortly in success-Sean. 😉
Decapitating a Queen Monstera’s Crown
I Will be cutting off the top two leaves off the plant in the below photo tonight. The reason I’m doing it is to make room for the other stem so I can anchor it more firmly to the pole and have only one dominant plant in the pot.

You can see that one of the Crowns has already been cut and there are two (large) Monstera in this Pot. I’m going to be decapitating the second one tonight and potentially removing the rest of it from the pot because there is very little of it left! In fact, One might be able to see the bottom of the stem in this photo, it is just below where it Will be cut! The reason for that is that all the roots are in the soil, so I can cut the plant on any node that is rooted in the soil and that section Will just continue to grow like a new plant. So to make the plant more bushy (but smaller overall leaf size and less fenestrations), I cut one of the stems between every single node that had a firmly established aerial root.
Anyway, this is what I do for Pleasure after another day of dealing with delinquent, narcissistic sociopaths posing as property manager for Mafia Hustle Initiative. My Monstera White Magic Sport is doing so well that when I attempted to rearrange the bamboo stake I am using to provide better stability, I discovered that it was not using the stake whatsoever and can stand perfectly tall and strong on its own! It may put out a new leaf soon, too!!!
But honestly, wouldn’t it be nice if I could spend more time tall King about the plants I’m taking care of? I swear to You that most People (all so far) that do see the interior of My apartment tell Me how surprised they are to discover how beautiful it is and are always especially surprised by My plants. I don’t why it seems so strange to People that I might be Good with plants, but for some reason that is the hardest pill for People who know Me to swallow.
Also, My plant collection does surprise even Me sometimes – I wonder how it came to be such a Magnificent Collect-Sean even though I know exactly how. With the except-Sean of roughly two years on and off over the course of seven years (in winter I don’t usually buy plants because they just die trying to bring them home), I commit to purchasing one plant a month and no more than twenty dollars (so I can buy more than one if they are both under ten). And it doesn’t seem like much because the collect-Sean grows so slowly that One gets used to it. But couple that with propagate-Sean and suddenly One has hundreds of plants. I don’t think I’m over two hundred yet but definitely well over one hundred and probably twenty-five to thirty-five diffferent varieties of plants.
